Meet Defimons – the latest Web3 title to launch on Epic Games
Defimons, a Pokemon-inspired monster-catching blockchain game, is coming to the Epic Games Store later this year.
While the Epic version will not be blockchain-compatible, it will allow creators of Defimons to tap into Epic Games Store’s 230 million user base and potentially reach a wider audience. Those who are interested in supporting the project can wishlist it here.

Created by Mon Studios, Defimons is described as a brand new take on the classic monster-catching gameplay combined with old-school battle mechanics and farming in an RPG-based setting.
Players can catch 100s of Defimons with different skills and abilities while exploring, building, crafting, and competing with other trainers. Not only that, they can also solve puzzles, play minigames, complete quests, and design their own apartments in the pixel-based online world.
Currently, Defimons is running in closed alpha and is playable in any web browser. To gain access to the early version, players must obtain an invite code from the approved users and then create a Twitter account for verification. Approved players will be able to complete various missions and earn mint points for a chance to win whitelist spots for the Starter Monster mint. These Starter Monsters will be mintable for free and playable in the game at launch.
Eventually, Defimons will be free-to-play, allowing gamers to explore an ever-expanding world with their virtual pets. Here’s a gameplay trailer showing what’s possible in Defimons:
