The Sandbox Launches Heroes vs. Villains VoxEdit Contest with 15,000 SAND in Prizes

Voxel artists and creators can now bring their favorite heroes and villains to life and earn SAND tokens for doing so.

Prepare to showcase your VoxEdit skills in the Heroes vs. Villains contest

The Sandbox (TSB), a leading user-generated metaverse, is back with another VoxEdit contest. This time, aspiring artists and creators are tasked to bring their favorite heroes and villains to life for a chance at a 15,000 SAND prize pool.

According to The Sandbox, participants will get to create not one, but two remarkable NFTs – an awe-inspiring hero and a wickedly intriguing villain – to be deployed in the metaverse. The 15,000 SAND will be split among the top entries. It should be noted that the top 5 winners will be able to mint their NFTs and sell them on the TSB Marketplace.

1st place: 6,000 SAND.
2nd place: 3,500 SAND.
3rd place: 2,000 SAND.
4th to 10th place: 500 SAND each.
The event is now open for submission through July 2nd, 11:59 pm (UTC), with the results to be announced between July 3rd and 22nd. Creators must submit their entry as a GIF, tweet their asset’s GIF, tag @VoxEdit and @TheSandboxGame, and include #VoxEditWeekly hashtags in their tweets. To complete their submissions, participants must also fill in this form.

Each asset will be judged based on the 5 criteria below:

Creativity: How creative was the asset based on the theme?
Usability: How well does the asset perform in other games?
Optimization: Is the asset optimized for use in The Sandbox?
Detailing: The level of detail on the asset.
Quality of Animation: Were new animations added, and how good are they?
